Courtesy by Mig.me, I get the chance to travel to Penang with other mig users. Not forgetting Patie and Pan Island Holidays for bringing the mig users including me to explore the island rich of Chinese Heritage. We had a great time relaxing at the Monkey beach, cafe hopping, tour around Penang's time tunnel museum and enjoying the Penang's Street Food.
Off we proceed to Syok Hostel.
Together with the other mig users - @wendypua , @yourapplepie and @hazelleo we reached one day early at Syok hotel and decided to have supper before sleep. You can check out my blogpost on Syok hostel.
We had Fried Oyster and Char Koay Teow that night. As you can see from the image the Fried Oyster is big unlike in Singapore. As I don't like oyster, Angie and Hazel keep praising the oysters being fresh, succulent and juicy.

After exploring, we then ordered 2 cakes and drink. I ordered Latte to perk my day!
The appearance of the Tiramisu is quite different from what I've eaten so far. Moreover, their Tiramisu texture is so moist and the taste is just nice which I highly recommended to everyone.

10300, Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.
Had a chance to visit Chew Jetty which is one of the highest occupancy and best-preserved clan. As I researched, there are about eight clan jetties at Penang.
As you can seen from the pictures, the houses are supported by wood or cemented beams. Each jetty comprises of row houses on stilts joined by wooden walkways over the water. As I observed the single storey houses are covered by triangular shaped roofing.
New Lane Hawker Centre, Penang
Lorong Baru (New Lane),
Off Macalister Road, Georgetown

Looking for different type of foods at Penang, you can pop to New Lane hawker street to eat as many as you want.
Ordered quite a few dishes to try with the mig users such as Satay, Curry Mee, Fried Oyster, Assam Laska, Fried Carrot Cake, Sambal Fish. The favourite for me will be the Penang Assam Laska served with thick rice vermicelli and other ingredients to bring this bowl alive.
Buah Long Long - My first time trying it would definitely recommend to friends who travel to Penang. It's definitely a very refreshing drink and I can't stop drinking it (:

Located at Love Lane which is about 8 minutes walk from Syok Hostel opposite to the Wheeler's Coffee seem to be a trend in Penang. Do you know it's the first selfie cafe in Malaysia with Taiwan being the first to open it.
With RM13.00, you can get to choose 3 different kinds of Selfie Coffee beverages - Hot Chocolate, Coffee and Mocha to be printed on it. For myself, I chose hot chocolate as it's pretty late and I don't want ended up with insomnia. Hmm, the printing process took quite awhile before it's being served to us. I will definitely blog more about this cafe in another post.
Do check my blog for a detail post on Selfie Coffee cafe.
DAY 2: BREAKFAST AT SYOK HOSTEL
Had a simple breakfast before we start our journey to explore Penang.
MONKEY BEACH
Teluk Bahang, Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
+60 4-881 3530
Situated in the Penang National Park in the North - Western Coast of the island which you can simply take a short boat ride to enjoy a day of fun in the sun, sand and sea with friends and family. The beach is known as 'Monkey Beach' because of the long-tailed macaques that reside there. Be careful if you are near them as the macaques might just snatch your foods and run away. Heard from the local there that one of her friend put a lime in his pocket and the next moment it was being taken away from the macaque.
Overall, Monkey Beach is a great place to rest your mind and enjoy the sea where you can bring foods to sit on the chair with table at there. After that, we had lunch and proceed to another stay at Hotel Penaga.
After a great rest, we then proceed to find another cafe to chill out before dinner.
The Alley
5, Lorong Stewart, Georgetown,
10200 Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Opening hours: 12pm to 12am
Cronut (RM8)
A total of 5 different Dips/Toppings for you to choose from - Nutella, Caramel, Cinnamon Sugar, Chocolate and Salted Caramel. Picture above shown are Cronuts which is known as a croissant-doughnut spread with Salted Caramel and Nutella Chocolate at the back. I prefer the salted caramel flavour, their cronut is definitely worth trying which is crunchy outside and yet fluffy in the inside. Yummylicious ~
Churros (RM 6) small, (RM9) big
Cruncy churros dipped in the chocolate is definitely good to serve as a snack.
DINNER AT HOTEL PENAGA
Had a very filling dinner with the mig users and Patie over at Hotel Penaga.
