The Malayan Council - Located at 71 Bussorah Street which was about 8-10 minutes walking distance from Bugis station , we decided to have our lunch there. The restaurant provides a pretty extensive menu including starters such as fries , wings, mains like Fish & Chips, ribs , pasta and not forgetting desserts , which you will be spoilt for choices. The portion of the food is pretty generous which you can share it with a group of friends.
We were pretty lucky on that day because we were served with free wings and also a take away free durian cake. Don't you think we are too lucky :) The wings tasted awesome with a little kick of spice but not too spicy to the extreme. Yummylicious ~
Smoked Duck Lemak Chili Padi - SGD 28
Highly recommended fusion pasta with a blend of Asian and Western flavours, this pasta dish tossed with mushroom, cherry tomatoes and argula with lemak chili padi sauce paired with their succulent smoke duck. The linguine was creamy and spicy with hints of pleasant sweetness which you feel too greasy.
The best thing of this dish is also their nicely seared, succulent smoked duck. The duck meat with a light springy texture definitely worth the calories. Though the dish is a little on the pricey side but do ensure that you will get to enjoy quality and quantity of the food.
Look at the big portion of the salmon. Woah! This paired seared Norwegian salmon filet, paired with their homade ravioli with indulgent fillings of spinach and ricotta cheese, cooked in lemon butter sauce. The ravioli to me is average but the sauce is perfect.
How can we leave the restaurant without eating their famous desserts ?

Classic Ondeh-Ondeh Cake - SGD9.50
Served with fluffy pandan-flavoured cake with crispy caramelised gula melaka in between layers topped with coconut shavings. It also comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream which complement very well with the cake.
